Track athlete development, document career growth, and build a professional record that extends beyond a single team or season. Virtus allows athletes to maintain continuity across the entire sports ecosystem, including AAU, high school, collegiate, professional, international, and post-playing careers. We ensure that achievements, progression, and experience are never lost in transition.
Document athlete development, career growth, and leadership impact across teams and seasons within the sports ecosystem. Virtus enables coaches to build a structured professional record that reflects not only wins and roles, but also progression, mentorship impact, and long-term contributions; supporting mobility across levels and into future leadership, training, or executive opportunities.
Maintain continuity, performance insight, and institutional knowledge across the sports ecosystem. Virtus supports sports agencies, scouts, collegiate programs, professional organizations, and corporations in evaluating athlete development and coach transitions for optimal career growth. We provide a trusted, structured record of development, trajectory, and experience over time.
Athletes often lack a professional platform that effectively captures their journey, similar to how LinkedIn supports career growth in traditional professions. Their accomplishments are often scattered across statistics, highlight clips, and temporary social media posts.
Virtus addresses this gap by creating a persistent identity layer that not only supports athlete development but also follows athletes throughout their journey. We Follow athletes from AAU to college, professional play, international leagues, and life after basketball, thereby enhancing the overall sports ecosystem.

Previous generations relied on limited exposure and informal networks for athlete development. Today, visibility and opportunity for career growth are shaped by digital presence and structured data within the sports ecosystem.
Yet no durable platform exists to document and connect an athlete’s full journey across levels. Virtus is built for this new era.

Virtus aims to become the foundational infrastructure layer for athlete development within a digital-first era. We believe that athlete growth should be measurable, persistent, and transferable, ensuring that career growth is not lost when teams change or playing careers end, ultimately supporting the entire sports ecosystem.
From Street Courts to the League: A Founder’s Journey in Athlete Development and Career Growth within the Sports Ecosystem.

Former NBA player with firsthand experience navigating athlete development, visibility, and opportunity across every stage of the basketball ecosystem- from grassroots and AAU through collegiate, professional, and international play. Smush’s career spans the pre-social-media era, providing him with a unique perspective on how talent, reputation, and opportunity were historically fragmented and often lost as athletes transitioned between levels.
He brings deep insight into the structural gaps athletes face beyond performance alone, including the absence of continuity, documentation, and professional identity as careers evolve. His lived experience informs Virtus’s core mission: to enhance athlete development and ensure that accomplishments and growth persist beyond a single team, league, or chapter of the game.
At Virtus, Smush shapes vision, athlete trust, and ecosystem relevance, ensuring the platform is grounded in genuine athlete needs while positioned to support long-term career growth, both within and beyond basketball.
